Hello, my name is Adam, I have been with the YMCA since 2015 where I started as a night security worker, then Engagement Co-ordinator, and now Community Manager. My job is to lead our Basingstoke team to support young people to live independently, gain life skills and engage with the local community. Being a Youth Ambassador for YMCA England & Wales I am committed to empowering young people.
Senior Housing Officer: Donna Walsh
Hi I’m Donna, I am the Housing officer here at YMCA Basingstoke. I manage the young people’s licences and guide them into more independent living once they have learn’t how to uphold a licence and their life skills. I am known to go into parenting mode if a young person chooses the wrong path
Receptionist: Gina Alexander
Hi my name is Gina and I run our busy reception with a welcoming smile. I’m the first port of call sign posting residents and visitors at our site. I also help with the interviewing and moving in of our young people. I started here voluntarily cooking and I cook the tenant Christmas lunch each year along with cooking for many other events and making sure none of our young people are hungry.
Youth Engagement Co-ordinator: Cara Lucas
Hi, I am Cara, one of the Youth Engagement Co-ordinators. In this role I help co-ordinate and deliver some of the YPASS programmes and support residents during their stay. I am interested in all things health, fitness and dance and am keen to ensure our young people are leading healthy lives. I also am passionate about training, learning and educational opportunities for residents.
